GOVERNANCE STRUCTURE

CIEPD has a written Constitution that provides the basis for its
existence and activities, a 3-member Board of Trustees that formulates
policy, provides guidance and focus, and has oversight responsibility
for program operations; and a Management Team at its headquarters
in Port-Harcourt that manages the day-to-day operations of the organization.

OPERATIONAL STRUCTURE

CIEPD currently has about 10 employees organized into four
operational departments under one Executive Director.
The departments are Programs that manage donor funded-programs,
Administration and Finance that provides administrative and financial
support for the organization, and Service that provides direct services
to the public. The direct services include Conflict Management/Gender
based Violence, Governance, Capacity building (Training) and Economy (Entrepreneurship).

DR. SOFRI PETERSIDE
Dr. Sofiri Peterside earned PHD in Sociology with specialization in Sociology of Development for University of Port Harcourt currently teaches Sociology at the University of Port-Harcourt, Associate Research Fellow and Acting Executive Director of the Centre for Advanced Social Science (CASS), Port-Harcourt. He was first Luce foundation fellow (Fall 2005) on Green Governance and Green Peace at University of California, Berkeley and seems fantastically enthused in research, especially when it involves breaking new grounds. He has published on Ethnic Militia, Militancy and Resource Management in the Niger Delta as well as on Democracy and Good Governance
ESINWOKE EGONDU
She has a first degree in Political Science and Administrative Studies, a post-graduate diploma in Public Administration and a Masters degree in International Law and Diplomacy. She has obtained many certificates in Peace and Conflict Studies from the Austrian Study Center for Peace and Conflict Studies, the United Nations Department for Safety and Security and the Peace Operation Training Institute, among others. She has well over 15 years of progressive experience in development, and has worked with both international and indigenous non-profit organizations. Before joining the Development sector, Egondu had worked in the prestigious “accenture” where her work ethics was cultured.
She designed and facilitated the project that brought about the first Peace Voluntary Agreement between the Warri-Ijaws and Itsekiris- and intractable conflict that was described by many as “impossible”. She also led the team that implemented an emergency relief program that was described as the best within that period. She was a key member in the strategy development, editorial preparation, and award panel negotiation that led to a $8.6M USAID Conflict Management and Mitigation Cooperative Agreement with the International Foundation for Education and Self-Help (IFESH).Egondu has authored chapters in “Ablaze for Oil: History, Dynamics and Political Economy of the Niger Delta (Rivers, Bayelsa, Ondo and Delta)” including, “Violent Conflict in Niger Delta”, “Critical examination of the ‘Promoters and Spoilers’ in the Peace Process (es), and Options for Sustainable Peace and Development.” She has successfully implemented several projects in good governance, conflict management/prevention, and has mentored several people as they build a career as development practitioner.
Apart from being the Executive Director of Community Initiative for Enhanced Peace and Development, Mrs Esinwoke-Ogbalor also sits on the board member of several other Non-governmental organizations.
PASTOR TONYE FINEMAN-KALIO
Pastor Fineman- Kalio is a worship minister, Counselor and Business man. He is adept at relationship management with proven ability to understand, counsel, handle complex youth problem and Mentor youths. He is a respected leader, equipped with good communication, coordination and analysis skills.He also is fully committed to providing and implementing dynamic, compelling solutions to the ongoing objectives of the charitable organization and development needs in the society. Tonye hails from Okirika in Rivers State and has a Bachelor degree in Economics

ESINWOKE EGONDU

Executive Director

MR. INNOCENT BAGBI

Accountant

Mr. Bagbi holds a Diploma as well as a Degree in Accountancy. He also bags a Master Degree in Management from University of Derby United Kingdom. He started his professional career as an intern in Bari and Bari Chartered Accountants in Nigeria, after which he moved to UAC Foods Limited (a subsidiary of UAC Nigeria Plc). He joined AFTRAC LIMITED as Head of Finance and Accounts, a position he occupied for 5 years and later became the Group Head-Finance and Accounts from May 2009 to April 2011 with the responsibility of overseeing all the subsidiary accounts that made up the –AFTRAC GROUP. Mr Bagbi later worked with Enefa Ekine & Co. Chartered Accountants as Audit Senior (October 2011-Feb 2013)
Mr. Bagbi experience cut across the Oil /Gas sector, Audit/Investigation, Office Administration, Business development and Building construction Industry. He is proficient in the use of Modern Accounting, Budget/Budgeting Control, Accounting Software Applications (Peachtree and Tally) and Project Management Course. With the wealth of experience acquired he was appointed as Executive Director – Business Development, Psovic Overflows International Nig. Ltd in 2009. Mr. Bagbi believes in constant innovation in business to boost growth, applying modern techniques and best practice to improve organization advancement. He will be working with our Account Advisor to make sure CIEPD delivers “value for your money project” He is poise to drive CIEPD to become a formidable and world class NGO with credibility and standard.
MR. IFEANYI AJEAGBO

Director, Programs

Ifeanyi Ajaegbo is a development practitioner with a Master degree in English Studies and B.Sc. in Communication. He has over 13 progressive years in development. Ifeanyi started his career with SPDC as a Project Site Supervisor before moving into Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) sector. While in the sector, he has facilitated over thirty workshops on governance and right-based approach programs. He has participated actively in designing and implementing various successful programs amongst other, Excellence in Local Governance Initiative” A training and Evaluation program for Local Government Chairmen and Councilors in Rivers State funded by Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency (RSSDA), “Civil Society Support Initiative on Political Marginalization in the Niger Delta” funded by United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF), “Mothering Peace” a documentary film project with support from National Endowment for Democracy(NED). He has also worked as a consultant with various NGOs in the Niger Delta like Stakeholders Democracy Network (SDN), kabetkache Women Resource Centre, Community Resources Development Organization, (CREDO), Development and Leadership Institute (DLI) etc. Ifeanyi is also an accomplished writer and in recognition of his work, he has received several awards and fellowships some of which are: Shortlisted for commonwealth Book Prize 2013 Shortlisted for Etisalat African writing prize 2013 Shortlisted for the LNLG Prize for Literature 2012 Crossing Border fellows of the British Council and Lancaster University 2005-2006 Radio phonics Fellows of the British Council 2008 African Regional Prize of Commonwealth Short Story Competition 2005 First Runner UP Association of Nigeria Authors Prose Prize 2007 Mr Ajaegbo will be working with Executive Director in conceptualization of programs, he will oversee the program officers to make sure the CIEPD delivers an impactful program.
MR. EFEMENA ODUH

Program Officer

Mr Oduh is a development Practitioner with 7 years progressive experience. He has a bachelor degree in Geology and Exploration Geophysics from Ebonyi state University, Abakaliki. He started his professional career with Initiative for Community Development, a nongovernmental organization as a Field Officer and has grown to Program Officer before he left ICD to CIEPD. He has a vast knowledge of Niger Delta and also specializes on community mobilization and capacity development. Mr Oduh has participating in conceptualizing, designing and implementing several projects from major donor agencies in Nigeria and of which some of them are: Afam Youth training in Rivers state funded by Shell Petroleum Development Company(SPDC), G-MOU community development for Mein clusters in Bayelsa state funded by SPDC, GMOU for FYIP Ogulagha community in Delta State funded by SPDC Bioremediation of Petroleum contaminated soil using higher plants in Emede, Delta state, Nigeria funded by UNOPS and World bank, Community mobilization in Emuoha L.G.A and Ahoada West L.G.A in Rivers State funded by European union (MPP9) and US-Self-help Ambassadorial assistance scheme for the construction of borehole with 2 overhead tanks at Ombor community in Ahoada West LGA of Rivers State.Etc
MR. EDWARD EDEKE

Program Officer

Edward holds Higher National Diploma (HND) from Rivers State Polytechnic, Bori, Rivers Sate, as well as Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism, Proficiency Certificate m in Management, Diploma in Computer Studies and Certificate in Health Safety and Environment (HSE) competence course. He started his career as an Industrial Attachment Student with Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas in 2012 as Protocol Officer. Later moved Glodek Venture as Admin Officer and work briefly which Chakel Security Service as a Senior Supervisor. Mr. Edeke before joining CIEPD in 2014 has good experience in media production activities, he has some jingles and film editing to his credit. Mr. Edeke is bringing in his media experience to the field of development.
EZE JACINTHA OLUCHI

Office Administrator

Ms.Eze Jacintha is the Office Administrator with Community Imitative for Enhance Peace and Development (CIEPD). She holds Bachelors of Arts Linguistics and Other Nigerian Languages (B.A Linguistics/Nig. Languages) from University of Nigeria Nsukka, Enugu Sate. She started her career as a community developer when she served her nation at Ekiti state where she single handedly equipped the community school library with text book worth over 10 million naira which attracted NYSC Commendation Award at the end of her service year Feb. 2014. After her NYSC she joined Care and Development Centre where she worked as a program/ Admin Officer on Women and children. She has volunteered for several organizations including Transitional Monitoring Group (TMG Quick Count) during 2015 Election where she served as a local government supervisor. She is well trained in computer and web designing. Jacintha has three years’ experience in human development and skilled in Media Production activities, has fluent communication, believe in team work and her core values are Focus and Commitment.
